Galaxy S5 to Sport Diamond-Coated Metal Case


When it rains, it pours, and when it comes to the yet unannounced Galaxy S5 flagship smartphone from , rumors keep on coming.

According to the latest reports from Kor, the handset will indeed arrive on shelves with a metallic case, just as previously rumored, though only a premium version of the phone will fture it.
In fact, it apprs that will go in for a fusion of metal, plastic, and composite materials for the Galaxy S5 chassis, in an attempt to make the device more durable.

The case will also ensure that the handset is lightweight, and that it is able to offer grt reception at all times.

A recent article on ETnews claims that has opted for stainless steel for the phone’s frame, while planning a battery case made of the aforementioned alloy.

However, it apprs that also decided to reinforce the case with a diamond coating, ensuring that it will be resistant to corrosion. The process involves applying carbon nanoparticles on the metal at high temperatures, as PhoneArena notes.

This production technology is said to be used for aerospace appliions in Russia, and it should provide with superiority when it comes to mass production and cost efficiency.

However, we should note that the id seems similar to what and were rumored a while ago to plan on including in upcoming flagship devices.

Of course, nothing has been officially confirmed on this as of now, though things should be brought to the spotlight in the not too distant future.

As reported rlier, a official has alrdy confirmed that the Galaxy S5 flagship will be unveiled sometime in March or April, and that it will sport a design change when compared to the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S3 before it.
